MBD - SABC tv license

MBD kept on phoning for our TV license payment. For more than 5 years I have tried to cancelled a tv license that was on my name. My husband also have a license and I have contact the SABC on numerous times. 4 years back when they were in Our shopping mall I managed to get the tv license on my name cancelled. They owed me at that time money which the consultant have said that the money will be transferred to my husband's tv license and that we don't have to worry as the money will be taken for the following 2 years and that the SABC will send us a notification the moment that there is a short fall. This year we were waiting for the notification as we need to know what amount we have to pay. Our tv license have expire end of March 2018 and at the beginning of June MBD starts calling my husband to say that our TV license money is outstanding and they sent him a sms which show the amount of R265 plus interest of R146. We have paid our license in the mean time but still they are harassing us. At 1st the agent when she called said that we did not pay and when I questioned her and said that we did pay she become very arrogant and said that she have to check her system. Another time was the same story and when I asked don't they check their system before they call the call was cut. They will phone every 2 hours and just keep quiet if I answer his phone or when he said that the money was paid they don't want to listen. I did report this to a supervisor who said that she will investigate but still the same story. I answered his phone and the lady ask to speak to him and when I asked her if I can help she cut the call. The amount outstanding according to them is for 2 months and more than half of what the actual tv license are. I feel that we have paid our TV license and that it is not our fault that SABC is lacking of sending out notices. Also for a period of 5 years my husband's name was linked to another ID and that he got also calls and threats for an outstanding tv license. MBD are not resolving issues but just creating more.
