MBD HARASSING ON PRESCRIBED DEBT

2 Years ago, I notified MBD in writing that my Debt has prescribed. For 2 years I heard nothing from them. They bought the debt from Standard Bank. Now I am receiving calls once again and they are threatening to take legal action.

As they are aware, the debt was originally incurred over 10 years ago. Despite previous claims of prescription, they have failed to adhere to the Prescription Act, to cease collections and write off the debt.

This is absolutely unacceptable. I want written notice that this debt has finally been written off and the threats will stop.
