MBD Attorneys - Collectors from Hell

<p>I had a Standard bank loan account which was handed over to MBD Attorneys as I was in arreas and couldn't make the repayment.</p> <p>I made arrangements with MBD to repay them and I have been paying them well. I call them today to ask how much is my outstanding amount due and I am told it is R6500 which I am aware off however I am informed the account has been closed by standard bank on their side and I should call them and ask where it is now, I call Standardbank with my own airtime as no one had contacted me they then tell me it has been handed over to other attorneys which I am given a number to contact, I call them and I am advised I owe R11000 + which is a shocker to me and they also never called me to make payment arrangements. I then called MBD Attorneys to query and they tell me there is nothing they can do as I need to call Standardbank and query with them, I however asked for a letter confirming the amounts handed over to them and the payments made to date and IM told that they cannot give me those and I need to speak to standard bank, because they might have been making their own charges, how if the account was handed over?</p> <p>Is this good service? From both MBD and Standardbank, is it fair? Who is lying to whom? I can get proof of all debit orders made to MDB for Standard Bank from. My Bank.</p> <p>I also had an Edcon account which was handed over to them and I finished it ages ago.I called Edcon for a settlement letter and they tell me I still owe and they cant give it to me then I call MBD to let them know and they tell me they will fix... still today it hasn't been fixed.</p>
