LOOKING for the wrong PERSON

I am receiving endless calls and SMSs from MBD with telephone # ********** 471 with regards to an account. Back in 2007 I moved out of a certain address and moved out of town. 12 YEARS later I am contacted by MBD stating that I am owing MATLOSANA Municipality money. I have tried endlessly to explain to the MBD and the said Municipality that I was not staying in the address and period in question. According to the municipality payments on the said account stopped in 2015 – IN 2015 I was staying in KZN. According to the Municipality the account is till on my name – I DO NOT KNOW Why the account is still on my name and do not have any documentation to prove that I have moved out of the address in 2007 – It is 12 years ago. I have even sent MBD and the Municipality and AVIDAVIT stating that they are looking for the wrong person. I have even tried suggesting that they must look for the owner of the property in order to get hold of her tenants who is all unknown to me. The municipality even confirmed that my account was paid for the few months that I’ve stayed in the address in question (I’ve stayed in the address from +/- April 2007 to Nov 2007).
