I have NOT been handed over, but MBD insists it is the case

I have received numerous calls from MBD Credit Solutions (note: at 7:30AM in the mornings which is completely inappropriate!!!) telling me that I have been handed over to them by the SABC for not paying my TV licence. But I have a debit order going off my bank account every month!

I contacted the SABC and they said my account is current and not handed over (I have this in writing via email ... So what the heck is going on? The lady from MBD calling says she can see that I am paying by debit order, but my account is still handed over. The SABC says it is not handed over. MBD cannot provide me with any proof of WHY I have been handed over either!

I am APPALLED and extremely angry as this is going to affect my credit score - I am planning to buy a house soon and having a record of being "handed over" is not going to reflect well.

I demand that my name be cleared immediately of this mistake. If this is going to affect my credit score negatively, I will take steps to claim for the damage caused.
