HOPELESS

I am writing this out of absolute frustration and as a last resort, hoping that someone who knows how to do their job will finally help me.

Last year, I opened an account with Vodacom for a Home LTE contract. When the router arrived, it did not work. I called Vodacom that exact same day to report the issue and requested to cancel the contract immediately under the 7-day return policy. Vodacom agreed, processed the cancellation, and explicitly confirmed that no outstanding fees were required since it was within the cooling-off period. I assumed everything was sorted.

A few months later, I was shocked to receive an email from MBD claiming I owed an outstanding amount. I called them immediately, but they told me they couldn't do anything and that I had to deal with Vodacom. After spending hours and days on the phone with Vodacom, a representative finally admitted that the original agent had never actually closed my account, leaving it active for three months. Eventually, Vodacom sorted it out on their end. I then sent all the official proof and documents to MBD confirming the cancellation. During this entire time, my credit score was severely damaged. Every time I called MBD for an update, I was repeatedly told the matter was "under investigation."

After nearly two weeks of back-and-forth, I was told everything was resolved. Now, almost a year later, the nightmare is starting again.

I am receiving calls and emails every single day demanding payment for an outstanding amount. I called again, and guess what answer I received? It is "under investigation." This is entirely unacceptable.

Your company has already badly damaged my credit score once, and it has taken me nearly a year to build it back up. Now you are trying to ruin it again. I refuse to pay for a service I never used and a contract that was legally canceled within 7 days.

I demand that a manager or a competent senior agent looks into this immediately, clears my name, and removes me from your system permanently.
