Harassment & POPI Act Contravention

MBD whatever this umbrella of ******** companies are called has been barking up the wrong tree since November regarding an outstanding GETBUCKS account which IS NOT mine. Each time I speak to their *********** consultants and request to speak to a manager / supervisor I am being told "I work from home and am not allowed to give contact information" what load of BS is this? Looking up their websites and phoning head office gets you nowhere, I am based in Cape Town and have felt like flying up to Johannesburg and go see them in Hyde Park!

I have told their useless consultants multiple times that they have the wrong person and to remove my number from the system, once being told that I have no right to be rude because I am owe debt. At one point I have received up to 5 calls a day! This is clearly harassment of an ill-run / **** company. One day by just providing my surname the consultant continued to provide information of the client such as full names, ID number, account number, amount outstanding, and when the case was handed over to MBD... and fortunately for me but unfortunately for this MBD umbrella, I know my laws and acts, and this is in clear contravention of the POPI Act! I have consulted with an attorney regarding the before-mentioned issues as well.
