HANDED OVER ACCOUNT

I had an account with finchoice, that was in arrears. I had made full payment of the outstanding balance on the 11 of September 2025. On the 12th of September I received an sms from MBD that my account was handed over. I had spoke to finchoice consultants & they said MBD would send me a paid up letter. MBD now tells me I have outstanding legal fees on the account. I am not sure how I can pay legal fees on an account that I was not aware of being handed over at the time of settlement. This is now causing a delay of update on my finchoice account on the credit bureau!
