Fed Up with MBD/UDU

I had a loan with UDU for a few years that was paid up in May 2020. For some reason the administration of UDU accounts was transferred to MBD (not because I was handed over). This is the information I only discovered after failing many times to try to log onto UDU website to check my account balance, as I always did.

After receiving my settlement amount of just above R500 from MBD upon request, I paid an amount that I thought will ensure that I finish the account in the next month. When I wanted to ensure that I pay up, I realised that there was an amount for loan protection insurance that was more than my balance, which I did not understand. I nevertheless settled the outstanding amount on 26 May 2020, and requested a paid up letter. This I was promised that I would get after seven days, specifically on Wednesday 03 June 2020.

Now instead of getting the paid up letter I was promised, my wife is being harassed by MDB stating that I have not responded to the last message to pay my UDU account; the message which I did not even get as I do not owe them a dime!! They must stop their nonsense and instead send me the paid-up letter they promised me more that 6 weeks ago.
