Awaiting Settlement Letter

How is it possible that it takes you 2/half months to allocate a payment made into your own account. Means the is someone not doing their job or clearly the is nothing being done about this. Not even an update. How difficult is this, these are accounts you guys deal with on a daily basis, how hard is to find transactions made on the 24th November 2017.
