Pathetic

After three exhausting years locked in a painful battle with Mazda Southern Africa, they finally took back the defective car. It wasn’t easy — I had to stand my ground and refuse to return their courtesy vehicle, even as Bonite van der Merwe, the CEO/MD, called me week after week with threats, trying to pressure me into giving it back.

When they eventually paid me out, they forced me to sign legal papers to silence me. That moment showed me just how ruthless and unprincipled this company is — it felt like dealing with bullies rather than professionals.

The fight left me scarred, but now that it’s over, I can finally breathe again. I feel human again. The trauma that weighed me down for years has lifted, and I can sleep peacefully knowing the nightmare is behind me.

To anyone thinking of buying from Mazda Southern Africa: please, don’t. Spare yourself the regret. Their customer service is nonexistent, their management arrogant, and their technicians clueless. Even basic parts are impossible to get — imagine waiting six months for a simple fuse to arrive from Japan.

This company broke me for years, but I survived. And I’ll never stop warning others: stay far away from Mazda Southern Africa.
