Mazda Lambons Kimberley
Mazda Kimberley not following the correct processes and a lot of discrepancies.
My car could not blow cold air and it's been two and half years now. I took it for diagnosis to three different companies, they all indicated that it is the compressor. On the 4th August 2025 i made a quote from Mazda in Kimberley. And the first quote was R14 382 (for Compressor (R10 512), Labour (3105), Consumable R115, Regas R650). The Sales person recommended two places where i can take the car for diagnosis, On the 12th August 2025 I took the car to one of the company recommended (won't mention the name). The car was diagnosed on my presence, and indeed it was a compressor. I then went back to Mazda on the 18th August 2025 to buy the Compressor, i asked for a discount on the part and it was granted. On arrival to make the payment, the regas went up from R650 to R850, I then indicated to the sales person to revome the Regas I will take the car to the regas place myself. The Compressor did arrive as i was informed, and my car was rescheduled for the 26th August 2025 for fitting. I dropped the car at Mazda and indicated to them that I will be attending a Meeting on the 26th and 27th August. They called me on the 26th when they were done with the car, I went around 15:50 to fetch the car. The reception lady indicated that I shouldn't put the aircon on as the car is not regassed. I did as instructed, she recommended Bosch to me as I have asked for recommendation of the gas company. On the 27th August 2025 fortunately my meeting finished early, I went to Bosch to regas the car. I sat there for who one hour waiting for the car until the consultant came to me and told me that the compressor is not working. It was around 17:00, I went straight to Mazda. They told me that is highly impossible.
I then requested the old compressor that was removed from my car, they told me they discarded the part on the 27th August 2025 with the garbage. How convenient, in less than 24 hours my car was at the dealership for new compressor fitment, the old part was discarded. The so new compressor is not working as well. I left as they were about to close. Came back again on the 28th August 2025, The workshop manager told me that they will take the car to Auto Electrician to check what the problem might. I agreed to that and indicated that they should not regas my car I will take to Bosch again. They should just provide me a written report for me to see what the problem was. Instead this morning (01 September 2025) I took the car in, they decided to regas my car without my consent from their friends. They say I should pay the R400 for regas.
At first I was willing to pay, but it felt wrong. I told them I will regas the car myself.
How convenient, my part was discarded within less than 24 hours my car was at the dealership. When a car needs regas, it does not kick in. When it's them taking the car suddenly it works. On their quote the regas just went up from R650 to R850, today on their convenience i should pay R400 for regas. What game is being played by Mazda?
Can I please get assistance, they should return my money and will take my car elsewhere. And i keep the assumed new compressor as they indicated they threw mine away. Correct processes were not followed, I feel undermined by the way Mazda did things with my car.
