Mazda CX 5 windscreens problem
The fourth windscreen on my Mazda CX 5. The car has 40 000 km on the clock. This means that I have replaced a windscreen every 10 000 km. The latest one got a stone chip this morning, and the crack ran at once. This has been the case with all four of them. I have been working with PG Glass regarding this problem. The following people have been very helpful: Gift Muhlari - ********** Joseph July - ********** Monique Oosthuizen - ********** They have tried to help where they can. I am extremely happy with the car, but am now very rapidly reaching the point where I am going to get rid of it and never buy a Mazda again. Even though our roads have stones and one does get chips, this is ridiculous. The moment that I get the slightest chip, the crack runs. A very brief search on the Internet confirms my suspicion that many drivers worldwide have experienced this on the CX 5. Joseph July (contact details above) informed me that Shatterprufe does not make a generic windscreen for my car. This means that I have to fit a fifth Mazda one. I believe that these windscreens are faulty. Please escalate this complaint and get back to me asap. Right now I am driving with my fourth crack Mazda windscreen and I cannot possibly face the insurance on this again. I have paid almost R 10 000 in excess on these windscreens out of my own pocket already.
