To Whom It May Concern
I would like to express my complete disappointment with regards to the service i recieved from Mazda yesterday 27.11.2018. I am appaulled by the service from the driver Mr Cassim and the staff at Mzada Durban. I was ASKED by Mr Phillip Ndlovu if i required a lift,i told him yes and gave him my work location.
After being dropped off at work by Mr Cassim i asked him if he will be able to pick me up, said yes and asked me the time i told him i finish work at 1 pm he asked if he could come at 1.30pm i told him its okay (thinking im compromising) i will wait 30min for him. He said that he will call me before 1pm if there are any changes but if he doesnt call me ,it means at 1.30 pm he will be by the gate.
At 1.42 i recieved a call from Mr Cassim informing me that he is running late. I told him that i am now stranded outside work, everybody has left. He told me he is on his way then. I proceeded to wait. At 2pm our security had to leave and locked the gates and i had to wait outside the premises. I did not have Mr Cassims number so i waited. As i waited i was being constantly harrassed by strange men whom i suppose are from this area. Being from uMlazi myself, i know this is the norm espeacially when you are a young female. Nonetheless i always avoid situations like this.
I then decided to take a taxi at 14.45 as i was now fearing for my safety as two random polo cars packed in front of me and the men told me they will wait with me. While i had just got into the taxi i saw Mr Cassim (15.00 pm)i quickly paid and got out the taxi and stood on the side of the road to wait for him. I stood on the same street just up the school. Mr Cassim came by i stood on the road, waved and shouted he didnt see me and drove pass. I realised my phone had died so i knocked at someones house and asked to charge. That is when i called Mazda.
The phone was answered by some lady i explained my situation and she only asked me where i am, i told her Umlazi, and then quickly said i must speak to Thandeka. Thandeka got on the phone and said the driver came and they couldnt reach me so he left. She said i must call him and started calling out Mr Cassims number. I asked her to wait while i get a pen and paper. I did.I told her ive been waiting since 1 pm for him. Thandeka rep**** "call him". I again explained to her the above situation and how fustrated i was. She kept quiet ( as if the phone was put on the side) i kept saying "hello" "hello are you there?" She rep**** "call him" and called out his number again.i told her she had already gave me his number i am just telling her what i am going through. I asked her why is she being like this, she laughed and said "sorry". I hung up.
I called Mr Cassim, he said to give him 15 minutes. Mr Phillip called me at 15.32 while i was crying and stranded as i now had no money on me to take another taxi. He apologised and assured me he will get in contact with Mr Cassim. He could hear i was not okay. Mr Phillip called me again at 15.34 to inform me that he has spoken to Mr Cassim and he is on his way. Mr phillip called again at 15.42 to tell me that Mr Cassim is still on his way.
When Mr Cassim arrived, i got in the car and greeted him he didnt greet back. I was then told by the client who was in the car that Mr Cassim has been very hostile towards her and she has been asking him what has she done to him. They then went back and forth arhuing, at this time i just wanted to get my car and go HOME! Mr Cassim turned up the music and started singing while Mrs Nyawose was asking "what have i done to make you this angry at me."
We got to Bluff to pick a client as soon as the gentleman came in,he greeted us Mr Cassim greeted back (to my surprise). Mr cassim then apologised to the gentleman for being late, saying he had to go off route and fetch clients from far. He is given 20K's to fetch clients and those are clients from Umhlanga and Bluff now he has to go to "these areas" and clients dont understand when he is late. The gentleman felt for him. Mr Cassim then said he should only fetch clients from the said locations and others should just take an aeroplane. They both laughed. We got to Mazda the lady sitting behind Mr Phillip yelled "sorry for the delay" then laughed while looking at Mrs Nyawose.
I was so appaulled to be treated like this at this company that i once respected. I have worked my whole life trying to improve myself because of my background. I didnt expect to get this kind of treatment here.
All i required was communication from Mr Cassim so i can make other plans/lift and not to be left stranded and then rediculed. I do not want nor desire an apology. I am utterly disappointed and appaulled, i will be sure to share this online/social media to alert people from Umlazi ( and other townships) who own Mazda's about this.
