Be scared if you take your car for service

Took my Mazda in for service. Assurance given be ready at 12pm. Arrived there at 2pm, not ready and said they did not have time to phone me to tell me it required other items to be inspected to be quoted on for repair approval. Service technician unsure how far service was or what was completed . No driver to take me back. Had to Uber to them - and car not ready. Now had to U er back home. 5pm Still no confirmation if car is ready or not.
