Bad communication

I would like to understand why when I booked my vehicle in for a service I was not told that it was not due for a service.I gave my VIN number so that everything can be confirmed yet I get a call from Clearwater Mazda telling me this 3 hours after I dropped my vehicle off this is really bad service your systems are obviously not working on top of that I had taken a day off work for nothing as well. THANKS FOR NOTHING MAZDA CLEARWATER
