Pathetic/Unprofessional Behaviour

The below complaint and frustration is against Terrence Reddy from Maxprop in Phoenix. I approached Terrence the moment I saw the advert on gumtree for the property , I called Terrence, when he did not answer , I sent him a whatsapp message. The very same day on the 6 March 2019 we went and saw the house , we liked it and informed Terrence we wanted the house. He wanted the deposit and the very next day at 9am, my dad met him and paid him the deposit of R6500.00, attached is the receipt. I also signed the lease and sent as well same day. I knew now that the property was officially mine for rental. During this interim I was in correspondence with Terrence on whatsapp, on clarity of the property and what I wanted done. On the 29th March 2019, he got back to me advising that the owner is not putting the pre-paid, although I was a bit concerned I said it was fine we will go with the counsil system. Then on the 30th March 2019, which we were supposed to officially move, he said that the owner wanted us to pay 100% of the light and water bill. So I told him , please speak to the owner and ask her at least we will pay 2/3 and she can pay 1/3 and the water we will split amongst the number of people. So he told me that after church the next day he will speak to the owner. Now you must know my house is already sold and we are ready and packed to move. He comes to my house on the 31st March 2019, advising that the owner does not want to budge and that she wanted the 100% light bill to be paid by me and that the neighbor swore him and chased him away telling him that he must move out of the property and that he was taking over and dealing with this. I was furious and disappointed. I told Terrence that it is now up to him to find us a place cos this was nonsense. I also wanted my monies back, which he came and dropped the next day. On the 31st March 2019 I took a drive to go see the owner, however she was asleep and I saw tenants already moved to the property. I took a drive on the 2nd April 2019 to see the owner, and then the drama unfolds. According to the owner she was told by Terrence that we did not pay a cent and that we were not taking the place, hence for her being desperate and when the new tenants approached her on the 29th March 2019, her neighbor made a decision to give these new tenants the place after they phoned Terrence and he told them we did not pay a cent. Had the owner and the neighhor known that we had paid deposit and advance rental they would not allowed the new tenants to move in. It gets more interesting so after we signed the lease for this home, two weeks later Terrence also signed these tenants for this same property and took their deposit as well. These tenants saw nothing was happening and took their money back from Terrence. Now these tenants knowing that they were not getting this house, still approached the owner on Friday and got the place on the basis that we did not pay the deposit. We had a meeting at the owners property yesterday with Mike, Terreance, the tenants, owner , owner nephew and my hubby and myself. We laid the cards on the table and Mike and his son were getting a bit defensive and trying to not take accountability. They fail to realise I basically am homeless. I have my children and little 4,5 months old grandson to worry about. These new tenants are just a couple. MaxProp will have to sort me out and I am not gonna leave any stone unturned until this matter is resolved. I have emailed Ed Van Niekerk, in charge of the franchises from the 4th April 2019, phoned and sent him numerous emails, called him , even whatsapp'ed him . I also called Nicole from his office , spoken to her on numerous occasions and they dont seem to be bothered. It seems as if they do not care for people and want to see them homeless
