Deposit Money Mongers

<p>After having dealt with MaxProp Kokstad, I think it is safe conclude that they are *********, bordering on malicious business practise. </p> <p> </p> <p>Since July 2016, when my housemate and I issued MaxProp with a notice to vacate a house we were renting in Kokstad, they have still not paid our deposit up to this day, May 2017. </p> <p> </p> <p>When we enquire about the money, they inform us of municipal services and water that was due by us, of which, we were never informed of this when we were moving into the property, not even were we given a contract to sign, which clearly stipulates the extra cost were are to pay over and above the rent. </p> <p> </p> <p>At the time of vacating the property, we ensured that it was spotlessly clean and that all aspects of the house were as per the time we moved in. </p> <p> </p> <p>To our surprise now, amidst all the rates and municipal services costs, we are now also expected to pay August 2016 rent as they claim that they never received our notice to vacate on time.</p> <p> </p> <p>The consultants at this property company are rude to the extreme, and I seriously suspect that the deposit money they are refusing to pay back has been shovered into their pockets for their own benefit and consumption at our cost. </p> <p> </p> <p>Please assist us in getting to the bottom of this. </p> <p> </p> <p>It can not be that MaxProp is allowed to continue exploiting people whilst they gain everything.</p>
