Rotten food

I had a long drive from Mafikeng where I took my kids to their grannies for the holidays, on my way back to Polokwane I decided to stop at the Maxi’s restaurant the ranch, we were then placed at table 5 because my phone was about to die and I wanted to charge it. I ordered a bacon and avocado wrap and my wife ordered a quarter chicken, wors and rib combo. Within a few minutes our food was brought to our table. Both our food was very cold except for the fries but I had no problem with mine, what then caught my attention was the amount of time it took for my wife’s food to be prepared, I mean she is a rib ***** and a good cook herself, the is no way ribs can take such a short period of time to be prepared. We then called the lady who was assisting us and we explained to her, she apologised and said the problem is the dish in which the food it placed, it was not warmed. So she takes the food in so that the dish can be warmed, when the food returned it was still cold and only the bottom part of the food was warm, i then take a bit of the ribs, have a bite and then smell them, they smelled terrible, my wife has flue so I just told her to stop eating because she could not smell the rot in the dish. We then ask for the bill and explain to the lady that the food is not ok, she insisted that it is ok, I asked her to have a bite and she did and told me the food it ok and that only the marinade is a bit off. The table was full of flies and I told her that the only reason flies are only on our table is because of the order, she acknowledged the flies and apologised for that and also said she would take the issue of the food up with the manager. On our way out I could just hear a voice which I suppose is that of the manager saying, “tell them we are sorry”. I am not happy with such kind of service, I just hope my wife does not get sick as a result of the food, I also hope that my dogs are ok because I ended up giving the food to the dogs.
