MAGGOTS IN MAXIS

MAGGOTS IN MAXI'S.<br> Completely and utterly disgusted with Maxi's SA / Maxi's Bergvlei on the N3 N just outside of Harrismith. The fact aside that mouse droppings dropped from the roof onto our table a shocking 5 times in the 20minutes we were there, we also found MAGGOTS on the cashier counter right next to the entrance of the restaurant!!! They were crawling all over the counter right where we were expected to pay for our meal. When I asked the cashier about this, she just shrugged and said she doesn't know what it is and carried on as normal. I asked to see the manager, who seemed anything but keen to leave his lunch to talk to a customer. When I showed him the maggots, he simply looked at me and said they fall from the roof, so that is where the problem is. He also said he has been aware of this for a while and will get someone to look at it. I asked him what his kitchen looked like and no response. When I asked him if he was aware of the fact that consumption of maggots has serious health risks and can cause death, he casually confirmed that he is aware.
