Subject: Urgent Request to Cancel Debit Mandate – R810

Good day,

I am writing to formally dispute and request the immediate cancellation of a debit mandate for R810 that I was misled into authorising during a telephone call yesterday.

During the call, I was informed that my loan application had been approved and that I needed to authorise a debit mandate to proceed with the application. However, I was not informed of the loan amount or given clear information regarding the mandate. I was told that another agent would contact me to complete the application, but I never received that call.

At the time, I was under the influence of medication and was not in the right state of mind to properly understand and assess what I was agreeing to. When I attempted to call the number back for clarification, I was unable to get through.

Under these circumstances, I consider the manner in which this mandate was obtained to be misleading and potentially **********. I have not knowingly agreed to proceed with a loan under these circumstances.

I therefore formally withdraw any authorisation given and demand the immediate cancellation of the R810 debit mandate. I do not authorise any debit against my bank account, either this month or in any future month.

The details associated with the mandate are as follows:

Account name: Maxgroup (Pty) Ltd Contact number: *** Email address: None provided Mandate provided by: Maxlaw Payment reference: *** Debit mandate amount: R810 Please confirm in writing that the debit mandate has been cancelled and that no debit will be submitted against my bank account.

I expect this matter to be treated as urgent. I do not consent to any further debit orders or deductions relating to this mandate.

Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter.

I was in contact with as assistant online, please see screenshot. She said it would be R15 to speak to the lawyer however they tried to now debit R614.

This is unacceptable and frustrating and I need this debit mandate cancelled immediately
