At a recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) held the portfilio manager from Mawer and Delport allowed a part of a Board of Trustees to violate Rule 22 of the Sectional Title Scheme Managment Act although he and the Chair of the Board of Trustees was reminded that a 10-year plan with quotations should be provided to the Body Corporate members at least 14 days before the scheduled AGM. (Certain members of the Board of Trustees were not included). Although various messages on various matters of concern were sent to him, he did not acknowledge any of these. He acted as Chair at the AGM and the 10-year plan without any quotations was presented only then presented to the members of the body corporate. A huge Mainttenance Levy was approved according to the figures presented by the Board. The work was performed according to the new 10-year plan and only cost 6% of the proposed amount. The duty of a managing agent and Chair of the AGM is to protect the members of the body corporate, the trustees and the scheme. The presentation of the last minute and incorrect 10-year plan should have not been allowed. After the wordk was done and I requested the information on the contract and cost of the work done, he once again did not responded to me. Only after I wrote a second letter, stating the legal obligations to provide information did he respond. This portfolio manager does not have the interest of the members of the body corporate at heart

I am very unhappy with M & D Property they very unprofessional on another level I received my statement and I was charged a fixed electricity fee wich I won't pay I'm sorry the electricity is so expensive I buy almost a thousand rand and then I must pay an extra fee ontop of that I'm not crazy.I'm staying in a unit that is not liveable with paint that is falling from the wall but they want to get extra money from the tenant's...there is not even a Dustin for the tenant's to throw away their garbage ather buildings has pickitup bins for tenant's to dispose their garbage...sometimes the water is sky high but we dont even use so much wwaterI called the office regarding the charge and I was told they sent all the tenant's a letter on the 24th of October with their statements imagine that they did not communicate in advance how can you send a letter on the same day that you will be charged extra does it make sense
