Unqualified Mechanics and all around poor service

We had our vehicle serviced and radiator replaced by Mavericks Mechanical repairs in Goodwood. They did not put the cooling pipe of the gearbox back correctly after replacing the radiator. This resulted in damages of over R25 000 to our Mercedes Benz.

When we approached Mavericks mechanical repairs to assist, they advised that they do NOT work on Gearboxes and could not assist us, irrespective of the car being under warranty. We were then forced to approach a gearbox specialist.

When we tried to approach Mavericks for some compensation towards the gearbox, they advised that we forfeited our warranty as we had the gearbox replaced elsewhere. Yet Mavericks told us they cant assist with gearbox.

When we asked Mavericks car repairs to see the qualifications of the mechanic who worked on our vehicle, they were unable to produce this, which leaves me to assume its an unqualified mechanic that worked on the vehicle and caused more damages.

The bottom of the vehicle was tied with cable ties and the *****s were just missing. The bonnet of the vehicle could not close.

Poor service all around.

They try and intimidate clients with a guy who claims to be their legal representative but could not even use the correct terminology of a legal representative.

Example of companies who take advantages of working folk and when you are unhappy, they throw lawyers and legal representatives in your face to scare you off.

however we are not scared as we have our papers and will be going to small claims court to settle this matter.
