Disappointing

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to cancel my stay and based on Matts Rest B&B T&C's, understood fully that I would forfeit a percentage of the deposit paid (cancellation was made well in advance). After numerous emails, follow up and promises that refund will be done, it has almost been 1 month that I have been waiting. It is expected of the guests to pay deposit on deadline otherwise you might loose your booking, one should think that the other side of the transaction would be honored too?
