Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Order and Request for Refund – MENLYN Branch

Dear Mattress and Couch Factory Outlet Management,

I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding a disappointing experience I have had with your MENLYN branch and a staff member named Christopher.

In February 2025, I purchased a couch and the Georgia chest of drawers and completed full payment by March. I was informed that the chest of drawers was out of stock at the time, but the couch was eventually delivered on 24 April 2025. I was assured that the chest of drawers would be delivered as soon as it was back in stock.

Out of concern and curiosity, I visited your Kolonnade branch, where I was informed that the Georgia chest of drawers had been discontinued. I was advised to request a refund. I then contacted Christopher at the MENLYN branch, who told me I did not need to visit the store and should instead send my bank details and a copy of my ID, which I did.

Since then, I have repeatedly followed up with Christopher regarding the status of my refund. His consistent response was that he was waiting for Head Office to process it.

Unexpectedly, this past Saturday, Christopher sent me a message saying the chest of drawers had arrived and would be delivered on Wednesday. Despite my confusion, I agreed. However, on 10 June 2025, the item that was delivered was not the Georgia chest of drawers I purchased, but a completely different product – the "Taxes" chest of drawers.

Christopher now claims he informed me of this change and that I agreed to it, which is completely false. At no point did I agree to accept a different item in place of what I originally ordered. I am deeply frustrated by this deception.

I am therefore requesting the following:

1. An immediate refund for the Georgia chest of drawers. 2. Alternatively, clear direction on where I can escalate this issue, as your sales representatives have proven to be unreliable and dishonest.

I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. I look forward to your prompt response.
