********* / Deceptive telemarketing

I did a web application on the MATFIN website to use equity available in my bond to help with the debt and I received an email saying that my application was unsuccessful. A day or two later I received a call from MAXLAW and they said that they assist clients who had been unsuccessful via the MATFIN option. I was told that for them to start work, they would need a payment of R550(this should have set off alarm bells already) but I went ahead and let them debit my account. At the same time they debited me with a R59 for November and December. I was told that this was for some Legal Eagle service which was not told me on our initial conversation. I was told that they can't reimburse the money. I went to the bank to have this reversed. Then when I sent my application forms they came back and told me that my application was declined because I had already done a web application - this is now the MATFIN web application. Then why did they then still phone me to offer assistance???? I've gone to the bank to have the R550 reversed but it will now cost me R220+ AND take about 3months AND negatively affect my credit record. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USE THEIR SERVICES!!
