Extremely Misleading

This year I also signed a contract to purchase the software from mathemagics. The consultant who approached me at the mall told me I could cancel at any time. I blame myself for trusting the consultant more than reading carefully what the contract stated. 1. The consultant had me take the software without me paying a deposit and told me that only after I had made a deposit, would they send me an activation code. Fast forward....I never did make any deposit because I had changed my mind about the product. When I sent an email to cancel the contract, I was hit with you cannot cancel the contract. I read through the contract and yes indeed it does say the contract cannot be cancelled, but in the same contract there is also a cancellation clause which is not properly explained. I asked the two ladies that I was dealing with to explain but they failed to so. They then told me I could cancel the contract provided I pay a 25% Cancellation fee , how they came up with that is definitely not in the contract. They also refuse that I pay that 25% in instalments, they want me to pay it all at once. I believe this is an ethical to ask someone to pay for something that they haven't used, you will have your software back intact and resale it to someone else. Please mathemagics, give your consultants proper training and tell them not to lie to potential clients just so that they can get a commission. Also rewrite your terms and conditions to make them clear to all. You cannot have two different clauses on cancellation that is contradictory.
