bad meal in the Italian Mastrantoino Restaurant / Illovo / Johannesburg

As I am organizing our weekly "boys" lunch, we always go to different restaurants. If they are good we go again. Today we went to the "Italian Restaurant " Mastrantonio" in Illovo Johannesburg. I ordered a "Piccata con Marsala" (veal escalope with Marsala sauce), because I ate the same meal a weak before in the Italian Restaurant "Stelle" in Rivonia Rd. where it was just fantastic and I exspected the same quality and taste at the Mastrantonio. Strange enough the Italian Restaurant "Mastrantonio" serves potatoes and vegetable to every dish but no pasta. As I prefer pasta, I requested to exchange the potatoes and veggies against any type of pasta. It took a long time to explain the 'white supervisor' that I prefer pasta to potatoes and the supervisor said he never heard of anybody eating pasta with a Marsala Sauce !!!!! - and this is a so-called Italian restaurant !!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, I received my meal with about ~ 40 g of Linguini in addition to the potatoes and veggies, which I did not have ordered. Unfortunately, the Marsala Sauce was unedible and I returned the whole meal. However, I found out that on top of the bad meal they charged an additional R 70 for ~ 40 g Pasta. I certainly will in future avoid the Mastrantonio Restaurant for our future "boys lunches" H.W.Gussmann
