MASTERPARTS Bellville

On my way home from the doctor, I stopped at MASTERPARTS in Bellville. I bought a water bottle and water bottle cap on behalf of my boyfriend yesterday at MasterParts BELLVILLE as my bf works in Atlantis and won’t make it before closing time. I tell the salesman exactly what is needed. Everything seems good and well until I get home & the damn box is EMPTY! Right enough, I didn’t check because I expected the product to be in there. I am booked off sick, with a pregnant belly & must deal with this stupid BS. The tax invoice shows the product was PICKED but NOT CHECKED by anyone. I called and sent emails immediately to the company once I discovered the empty box. I went back the very next day & the manager gives me a hard time insinuating that I am lying because he can see there’s car oil finger prints on the box (this is exactly how I received it) he continues to tell me my mechanic must’ve broken the bottle while fitting it. I show the manager that his other products boxes also have oily fingerprints on them and I have pictures for reference too. I explained to him that the other picker touched the customers (who was standing besides me) used car parts to compare as well so how can he just dismiss that as if none of the other employees do the same. My bf and I do not have the same vehicle - nor do we live together. The product did not leave my cars boot until my bf asked me to send him a picture of the products & upon getting the products out of the boot to take a picture, that’s when I discovered the empty box! Anyway.. I refused to leave without a refund or the product I purchased. After a very long and difficult process, he gave me the water bottle and stated that it’s coming from his stock - not that he is doing me any favours because I spent my well earned money paying for the part initially! This is very poor customer service, and I do not recommend this place! Note to self: check your products before leaving any car parts store because these people are ******* & will refuse to assist you in any way.
