Debit order reactivated after 13mths
After the maintenance contract was cancelled telephonically in January 2014 (after many attempts to make contact with them), we discovered an amount of R77.74 has been deducted again from our banking account (March 2015). On querying this deduction with the bank, we discovered that Early Bird had reactivated this Debit Order. Having made contact with the office in Midrand we were advised that this contract was never cancelled! With that being the case, how come there no deductions from our account from February 2014 until now? We were further advised that they cannot reimburse the R77.74 which was deducted from our account and that this action should be done via the Bank which will cost a further R40.00. I find this totally unacceptable. There has to be something drastically wrong with their accounting system that after 13 months, a Debit Order is reactivated without any contact with the client and furthermore that this amount cannot be reimbursed from their side.
