Acc cancelled 3 yrs ago - Pensioner still paying!

My pensioner mother has been having problems with Mastercare Early Bird since cancelling her contract in October 2012. Despite several letters confirming cancellation of the contract, several stop-payment orders at the bank and numerous telephone calls and emails to MC, they continued to deduct monthly instalments of R90.27 over a three year period - for a TV she no longer owned!

I posted a complaint on HelloPeter on 23/10/15. Between 26/10/2015 and 04/11/2015, speedy correspondence from Lebo Paho sorted out the matter and my Mum received a refund on 04/11/105. We were relieved that a 3 year battle was eventually at an end.

Unfortunately, our faith in Mastercare was short-lived! In early December, Mastercare once more deducted payment from my Mum's account. Not only one payment, but double the amount!!

How many times must a pensioner cancel a contract for a TV she does not own? How long will Mastercare continue to plunder a pensioner's account and cause her a great deal of distress trying to protect her already meagre income? What penalties are there for companies who not only dishonour their clients, but who flagrantly disregard the rules of ethical business practice?
