Master Maths Claremont

<div>My son attended Master Maths Claremont for 2 years. He needed xtra Maths lessons to keep his maths mark up. There was absolutely no change in his maths mark even tho he attended twice a week.I then cancelled with Master Maths Claremont and sent my son to a different institution. Within a month of being at a different place my son’s end of year results went up by 30 percent.Master Maths billed me for classes not attending after I have cancelled with them and handed me over to a debt collector because the owner was upset that I have removed my son from them as they did not keep up to their promise. I have paid them now for classes not attended .DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO MASTER MATHS CLAREMONT AS THEY MAKE PROMISES BUT DO NOT PRODUCE RESULTS !</div>

Dear  Faranaaz A,

it is a pity that you decided to post your grievance on a public forum and not contact head office directly. You can contact us at any time by sending an email to this link: https://www.mastermaths.co.za/contact/

Please see the reply from the centre:

Dear Mrs T---- (names omitted to protect your identity)Re- J----- T------ You enrolled at Master Maths Claremont in February 2020 when your son was underperforming in Maths, and you were concerned that he would not be accepted at the High School of his choice. He duly attended once a week (2hrs) until August 2020, made significant improvement and was accepted at the school selected. At this point, you resigned against our advice.
In February 2022, you re-enrolled him under some distress as his marks had declined by more than 20% in 2021. We recommended lessons twice a week (4hrs), which you did for one month before reducing to once a week (2hrs). This was against our advice in our discussions with you and in our written reports over the next eight months. He simply wasn’t able to cover the volume of work required in the time available.
In November 2022, you unilaterally terminated his lessons and refused to pay the final months’ fees. RegardsMaster Maths Claremont.

I have personally seen many reports that were written and sent to you regarding your son's progress. The centre sent multiple communications to you suggesting that he attend more hours. We are confident that the centre honoured their part of the tuition contract.   As such, it was expected of you to honour your part of the contract and pay the tuition fees.

If you would like me to send you the reports again, please submit a request via the link above.

We have investigated your complaint and now view this matter as being closed.

Kind Regards
Marius Myburg (Operations manager)
