What an absolute JOKE !

Just a warning... If you are thinking about installing gutters at your home, DO NOT use MASTER GUTTERS.

They were fantastic when they came to quote and measure, one of the reasons I went with them was because when I asked about their pricing, the response I got was that they were by no means the cheapest, but their after sales service was great and they look after all of their clients....( PFFFFT ! )

I asked the guy whether they could install down pipes at either side of the balcony instead of on the actual balcony, he measured and said it was a long stretch but it would be fine ( remember he is the professional ).

They were installed and looked great, the rain came and the gutters did their job, or so I thought.... about a week later I noticed that my roof had turned brown which is obviously indicative of water damage, it was also in the area where the “ professional “ said it would be fine.. I called him out to have a look and turns out it wasn’t fine and the water had flowed back into the ceiling.. The “ professional “ then said I would need 2 more down pipes on the balcony, I said ok cool and what about my ceiling ? He said he’d chat to his director...

The next day I received a quotation for 2 more down pipes as well as a quotation for repainting of my damaged ceiling.. Now, I thought that was a little cheeky given the fact that the damage was caused due to a lack of down pipes after they already stated there were enough. I called the director who informed me that the installer stated that I specifically said I did not want down pipes on the balcony AFTER his installer warned me that there would be issues so they would not be held liable... makes complete sense, if I had in fact stated that I did not want down pipes there and if the ” professional “ had warned that this could potentially happen and maybe even said that it WOULD NOT be alright..

I continued to argue with the guy who was having none of it... I spoke with an attorney and the director then sent a mail stating that he had 2 witnesses ( his workers ) who were witness to me specifically stating NOT to install down pipes in those areas after being warned of the issues it would cause... How convenient..

At the end of the day it’s a case of he said she said but I just feel that MASTER GUTTERS should in fact try and come to some sort of resolution instead of just saying it’s not their problem... The customer service was shocking and I am left having to find another company who’ll be able to fix their mess.
