Complaint regarding uncomfortable shoe and refusal to refund

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an unpleasant experience i had with a shoe shop named Mason. As a pensioner ,I carefully choose items that fit my budget needs. I purchased a pair of shoe from Mason, expecting them to be comfortable as i specifically went in search of a comfortable shoe. Unfortunately, after wearing the shoe once in church for about an hour, I discovered that they were extremely uncomfortable to the point that i can barely walk in them. In an attempt to resolve the matter ,I returned the shoe to the store, hoping for a refund or exchange. However, i was shocked and frustrated when the store refused to take the shoe back or issue any form of refund. This has left me without a solution to the problem. Given the circumstance, I believe I am entitled to a refund or at least a fair solution to this matter. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in addressing this issue with the store.
