MY ELECTRICITY TRIPPLED IN ONE MONTH WITH MARTINIQUE HOW THE HELL

The complex I live in recently moved over to Martinique Electricity. The first electricity bill that we received from them was almost triple the amount/consumption we use. I queried how can it be possible that my electricity jumps from R900 average excl tax to R2680 in one month.. they tell me it's electricity tariff increases.... there is no way in hell that from my past 4 years living at the complex including regular increases that my electricity is now triple with these people!!! IN ONE MONTH... They made an estimate they say based on my average consumption... if they only took over for one month HOW DO THEY KNOW WHAT MY AVERAGE CONSUMPTION IS!!! I sent them my last 6 months statements from previous electricity carrier... waiting with bated breath what is their response
