Its who you are

I have had it with Martin Primary School in Boksburg. They never have space. I was soo excited when i moved in at my town house at Pebble falls lifestyle. And to top it off i was more excited that there is primary school nearby for my daughter.

It was nov 2015 when i moved in and my daughter was then in grade 2, i went to martins primary school to ask for forms for the following years registration and i was told its late and the school is full i should try in April. Ok april 2016 came i went to the school and i was told they are busy with the grade 1 and 2 intake i should come later maybe in may for grade 3 intake. I went and i was told its full i am late, i asked how because i was following what they told me, the ladies at the reception didnt even bother to explain to me they just told me its late.

I went again 2017 and same thing happened only to find out im not the only parent they are doing this to, We found out theres kids coming from far like vosloorus or thokoza that are given first preference. 1 parent said that for her to get her child in she threatened them that shes going to report them to department of education and then suddenly there was space.

My child travels to freeway park primary from pebble falls everyday, the costs are ridiculous and im not going to start on the time she has to wake up to get to school on time whithout getting late for school due to traffic. Another parent told me that her son was accepted during the year to do grade 1. So clearly it depends on who you are to be accepted at that school.
