I trust this message finds you well. I would like to formally report a serious incident that occurred this morning, between approximately 07:15 and 07:25 AM, while I was driving on the road from R300 to the N2, heading towards Somerset West. One of your company vehicles — a bakkie/van with a number plate beginning with CY or CAA and ending in 246 550 (unfortunately, I was unable to confirm the exact plate) — was driving negligently and nearly caused a major accident. The driver nearly struck my cat, which caused me to swerve out of the way. As a result, I had to veer off the main road and onto the gravel shoulder to avoid a collision with both the vehicle and an oncoming truck. Shockingly, the driver did not stop to check if I was alright or assess the situation, and continued driving without any regard. Due to this incident, my vehicle has sustained damage, including: A broken spotlight Two broken bumper grills A pull to the left while driving (possible alignment or suspension issue) A noticeable noise while driving I am extremely concerned about the conduct of your driver and the lack of accountability shown. I would like to know: Who will take responsibility for the damage to my vehicle? What steps will be taken to identify the driver involved? What measures are in place to prevent such incidents involving your fleet? Please treat this matter with urgency, as the safety of road users should be of utmost importance. I am happy to provide any further information or a formal statement if required. I phoned the comapny and told them what happened they wanted a formal email regarding the incident as per above the email i did send to them. However no one responded or anything and i repaired my car afterwards with a bill of 7500 later
