The Marshall Ripoff

I am gutted to write this post.

On the 4th of June I invested in a large amount of musical equipment from Marshall Music in Cascades. The guys were lovely and gave me a discount. I was so happy.

This week I have had to sell my equipment, as I am not using it as I had hoped. Only to find out that not only was I charged almost double on some items by Marshall Music Cascades, but that the prices on their website (that they list as theirs) are substantially different to what I paid in-store.

Given this information, I cannot even resell the gig equipment, as my resale prices are still higher than brand new from every other store.

I'm talking R10 691 (discounted to R8555) on a speaker they sell for R6999 online, as does every other music store across the country.

R1599 for a mix box they sell for R955, and everyone else sells for for less.

And the list goes on.

I contacted them, and their response was incredibly poor. I have included this in my post.

This equipment is more useful as decorations, than reselling.

Unacceptable. I am not going to be mowed down in 2020. This is a huge loss to my financial investment.
