Beautiful Venue, Extremely Disappointing Experience
We unfortunately cannot recommend this venue based on our personal experience while planning our wedding, which ultimately resulted in our booking being cancelled 4.5months before our wedding date. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and honestly has the potential to be an incredible bush wedding venue, which is what makes this review so disappointing to write. Throughout the planning process, we experienced ongoing issues with communication, changing information, unclear venue policies, and unexpected additional costs. Trying to get clarity around logistics and arrangements often became unnecessarily difficult and stressful. One of the main reasons we originally chose the venue was because we understood that only a limited number of weddings were hosted each year in order to maintain exclusivity and provide couples with a more personalised experience. We later became concerned that the number of weddings being accommodated around our wedding period appeared to be significantly higher than we had originally understood. During discussions surrounding our wedding, the venue owner also raised concerns around workload, scheduling pressure, stress, and exhaustion during that period, and ultimately suggested that the wedding should not proceed at the venue due to this, which left us feeling extremely uncertain about moving forward with our booking. Given how close this was to our wedding date, this left us in the incredibly stressful position of urgently needing to find an alternative venue and rework major wedding plans at short notice, which anyone who has planned a wedding will understand is no small task. While we appreciate that weddings and hospitality can be demanding industries, we personally felt that the level of communication, consistency, professionalism, and overall support we experienced did not align with the expectations we had when making our booking. Ultimately, despite how beautiful the property is, our experience unfortunately fell far below what we expected from a venue positioning itself within the luxury wedding market.
