This is the first negative review that I've ever posted as I prefer to only praise people. However, on this occasion I'd like my review to be a warning to prosective clients in the Sea Point area. I was refered to Mark's Electrical, in good faith as my usual electrician didn't have time to assist. Mark was asked to secure a wallplug that had been loose, remove two lightfittings - one's electrical supply had to be rerouted 2 m, install an additional spotlight (Mark supp**** the light) by connecting to an existing spotlight by 2m, and secure a lightfitting that had lost a bracket during a paint renovation. Mark charged me R5800 for the job which I feel was grossly overpriced - my sentiment which has since been confirmed by several other electricians. Many people have commented that some greedy trademen in the Sea Point area feel entitled to charge 'London' rates for their job, Mark Electrical is definately an example of this which gives other honest tradesmen a bad name. Not everybody living in the citybowl is a millionare.
