Unwanted and ridiculous charges on statement

I received my statement the other day and realised that I was being charged R2.80 for an SMS? What? How can an SMS be so expensive? No network in SA charges that much for an SMS. Pure Exploitation if you ask me. I would rather not receive that SMS because I receive a monthly statement anyway, plus that SMS is in no way to my benefit, it is a reminder that I did not ask for, for me as the client to pay you guys on time (my account is not even in arrears). WHY SEND ME THAT SMS?

It may seem petty but in this economy where unemployment and the cost of living is high, every cent counts!
