In 2013 I paid my last amount on my Markham account or that's what I though. Apparently there was still a few rands left...I failed to close the account coz I thought I paid it all up so it would automatically close like my truworths account..the amount that left in the account was not more than r20...I'm 100% sure of that..so my wife and I tried to make a loan last year 2016...then we were told we are blacklisted for a Markham account...we didn't get any calls nor letters since 2013 from Markhams..my number may have changed but my address never did...the we get a call from attorneys saying Markhams gave them the account last year October...how come from 2013 you only give the account over in 3years...which amounted to 2400...why didn't you send me letters? Now the lawyers fees for the Markhams account is 3700...we can't do anything because of this account...can't buy a house nothing....please explain! I refuse to pay this...is there no law that says after a certain period you have to give an account over to the lawyers...why did they only receive it last year?
