The cashier staff and customer service at Markham's Alberton City are absolutely atrocious!!

Myself and my partner visited the Markhams store at Alberton City, Sunday the 25th of July 2021.

Yes it's a Sunday and we do understand that out of the three tills, only 2 is operating due to short staff and it being a Sunday. But what is mind boggling is that the one staff member working behind the till (Let's call her Mrs X) is absolutely rude, extremely slow and obnoxious!!! Shouldn't one be friendly efficient and helpful???? After waiting in line for aprox. 20min with only 3 customers in front of us, we finally get to the till point to pay. Mrs X can firstly not even greet us properly and has a very bad attitude. We asked why it takes so long to serve the customers (That is only purchasing 1 or 2 items) and to our surprise we get a snotty comment back! We kept quiet as we just wanted to get out of there. Mrs X then proceeded to shout to the manager that we have a complaint, laughing at us and embarrassing us in front of the entire store and shouting 'F9' (whatever that may be) with a massive grin on her face. Needless to say, we placed the item on the counter and said that we will lay a complaint. We will not support a store that gives paying customers this kind of treatment. It is really appalling and shameful of Markham's to employ people such as Mrs X.

We will never support the brand again! Sis on you Mrs X!
