Statement for ***

In October I paid off my Markham account and then later in 2016/2017, I got news from Shapiro Shaik Defries and Attorneys stating that my account had been handed over to them and that I was owing an amount of R180, I have been investigating this issue since 2017 and to this day this collection company has not been able to give me a statement as to how my account got to have such an amount in arrears so much so that it was handed over to them. Today I called the TFG customer services, they were not able to trace this back and I have been referred to their recoveries department which is yet to respond to my issue…this nonsense is affecting my credit record yet I cannot get an answer from either Markham/TFG and Shapiro Shaik.
