Settled account but they still don't want to close

I asked for a settement letter at the end of November 2015. They provided it and I paid the balance outstanding. I asked the account be closed. They now say there is another R800.00 outstanding. I've followed up several times stating the account needs to be closed. They refusing to close the account.
