Ridiculous customer service.
I sent a message to Markhams via email in the beginning of June 2018 stating that I keep on getting calls from their call center saying I must make payment. I made payment the end of April 2018 and I know that I had to make payment in May 2018 but due to unforeseen financial restraints I couldn't make the payment, hence me sending an email to them.
Everyday I get a call from an agent and I was told for each call I will get charged because no arrangement was made and every time I put the phone down. I cannot take calls during my office times and the way they ask you the questions it's as if everyone in my office must hear I have accounts that must be paid, their agents have no sense of dealing with different clients. The one lady I spoke to named Samantha even went as far as telling me "if i made payments then I won't be in this situation where they are charging me extra", I mean who the hell tells a customer that. I listed all this in an email and all I got was a generic response to say thanks for the email.
So is this a case of that if I didn't confirm things telephonically, I'll be charged for each call I drop because I can't take calls even though I sent an email stating that I will make payments the end of June for both May and June accounts that will be due. I am sure that Markham being part of the modern society we live in, arrangements can be done via email to avoid clients being penalized for not using the call option.
But it's the manner that these call centre agents speak to the clients that really gets me upset, they think they can speak to you like they want because they just came out of school and have no business acumen at all. Markham, do yourselves a favour, send these people on customer service training or reprimand the bad apples from the good ones.
