monthly required amount is too much

I owe about R600 or less on my account, I have been paying monthly minimum requirements of R400 every month to bring my credit down, but yet the minimum amount they want is still high R395 required, if I pay less I fall into areas. I dont think this is fair, the minimum amount to be paid should be controlled by the amount owing, this is what other retailers do.
