Markham Malelane. Lay-by cancellation. Rude store manager

Today was my 4th time going to the store trying to activate my account, I was there last week to lay-by something for my son, while i was there i inquired about opening a account and decided to open one. Last week I went there 2 times and the phone wasn't working, last Saturday I went there stood there for an hour but was told the customer care number was offline. Today I got there and was helped and got my cared activate, then I was told that I must buy something to activate the card. So I asked to cancel the lay-by so I can take the items using the card then that way I can activate the account. I was told I can't cancel my lay-by, I need to let it expire or pay the outstanding amount which is about R800 then ask for a refund. The store manager (Rica/Rita) if I'm not mistaken SINCE THEY ALL DIDN'T HAVE NAME BADGES ON... said only head office does lay-by cancelation, so i told her aboutthe 1% fee you get charged when cancelling the lay-by and even showed her(written in black and white in one of the brochures in the store). So now I was forced to take something to activate the account and it cost R360. Now I'll have to pay 2 installments. When all this happened there where other customers there, I felt attacked and not valued the manager was very rude and didn't wanna answer any question I had... this happened at Markham Malelane Ingwe Shopping Center. They force clients to activate accounts by buy things they haven't pland for and don't want customers to cancel lay-by's. Even thinking of closing the account once I'm done paying. Something must be do.....
