MARKHAM ELLOF STREET BRANCH -MANAGER AND THE MARKHAM CLOTHING BRAND

The manager at that branch has a serious customer relations problem. I visited the branch to buy a shirt and a jacket and I was heartlessly maltreated. For starters I was told that my satchel which contained a new ipad was not allowed on the premises. Even after pleading with the manager Lerato Tsai, I was refused entry. Even after explaining that I had been at the branch the previous day and had entered with my satchel she refused. She went to an extent of calling a security guard who physical pushed me out of the shop and threatened to phone the police. Simple because I refused to give her my bag on entry. I had to leave the premises to go and drop the satchel in my friend's car. I went back inside to buy the jacket and shirt. I had no option I just had to buy after my horrible treatment as I was attending a Matric Dance with my students that very evening. I have reported the matter to their Head Office in Capetown and sadly the only thing they have had to do is drag their feet. According to staff at that branch it is a normal occurance ar their branch when she is there. My experience was traumatic and very very demeaning. Head office asked her to apologize and she even **** about phoning me and talking to me. Markhams has left me with a sour taste. I wont even enter their branches in future. I was degraded and dehumanized. I spent a R1000 cash at that shop and I feel a strong sense of anger every time I look at the clothes I bought after such Degrading abuse.
