It's an issue getting a refund

Having to straggle to refund a jean I bought.. I went to west gate to do a refund at 10 and waited for like 50 minutes .. they advising me to get a voucher while I needed to get my money back .. Can there be a solution to this issue .. it's funny how a float can be R200..I bought two things , I was happy with other item and wanted to return the jean .. advise how can I get my money back
